Craig began his career in animal protection in the fundraising team for Animals Asia Foundation. As the global Project Funding Coordinator, he worked as a connecting point between the programs & international philanthropy teams to secure funding for special projects in China & Vietnam. In addition, he stewarded and developed their flagship major donor program, Name a Bear.
Animals Asia is a founder member of the Asia for Animals (AfA) Coalition, and Craig became interested in their partnerships work, gradually taking up a variety of roles within the coalition, aiding in its development since 2018. Within this, Craig has helped AfA in the launching and leadership of new events & working groups for the benefit farmed animals, including the establishment of Asia Farm Animal Day (since 2020) and the Capacity in Animal Protection Coalition (since 2023).
In turn, AfA Coalition is a regional founder member of the World Federation for Animals (WFA), the only UN-accredited coalition of animal protection groups, speaking with a united voice at international policy-making fora. Craig acted as the Head of Membership Development & Operations for WFA during its start up phase.
He now brings his background in fundraising & organizational development to lead AfA’s capacity building program where he helps NGOs of all sizes across Asia overcome their capacity challenges.
Craig is a passionate, long time vegan who lives with his four rescue dogs and two cats in the West Highlands of Scotland.
