Dr. Nathan E. Leonard is the veterinarian, co-founder, and Executive Director at Animal Welfare and Environment Network for Tanzania (AWANET). AWANET is non- profit and non-government organization working for the wellbeing of animals and nature. Dr. Nathan has been working as animal welfare activist since 2017 following his graduation .He has worked with several organizations including: Meru Animal Welfare Organisation(MAWO), Tanzania Livestock Research Institute(TALIRI) and Zoetis Inc . With AWANET Nathan is working towards plant based diet advocacy, humane education sensitization, One Health, and sustainable environment conservation.
