Sneha Shrestha the founder of Sneha’s Care in Nepal, member of the Animal Cruelty Prevention Committee by Nepal’s Ministry of Agriculture, and President of Federation of Animal Welfare Nepal (FAWN). She is a passionate vegan animal advocate with a huge heart. Her journey began with the tragic loss of her pet dog, Zara, which ignited her compassion for all animals. Starting with helping injured and sick street animals, Sneha soon realized the depth of the problem and founded Sneha’s Care in 2015.

Through Sneha’s Care she has extended her helping hand and loving heart to aid more than 24,000 sick, abandoned, injured animals. The sanctuary has been a loving home to more than 200 residents, including dogs, cows, buffaloes, goats, sheep, and pigs. She pioneered vegan advocacy in Nepal to shed light on the animal cruelty that takes place in the dairy and meat industry.

Through school programs, she teaches students compassion for animals and educates community women on the benefits of a plant-based diet. A strong voice against animal cruelty, Sneha has played a key role in national policy formulation and has been recently elected as a member of the Animal Cruelty Prevention Committee by Nepal’s Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development where she represents on the behalf of every animal welfare organization.

Sneha Shrestha continues to work tirelessly for animal welfare, spreading awareness and compassion through her various initiatives. She may be reached at info@snehacare.com.
